There were 2 telecons, each focusing on a component of the January demo. Both telecons will continue next Monday at the same times. Our Cluster meeting in Tucson is set for Tuesday 1/9 at 11am. Our Cluster presentation will follow the Interop presentation.
Scenarios
Ken Markowitz will develop a template for scenario development. Rob will develop an introductory slide addressing: Why Scenarios? and Why a Template? Ken will contact Dave Jones regarding a Media scenario. We discussed the pros and cons of presenting the Scenario material in with the Community Engagement presentation (rather than with the rest of the Digital Earth presentation).
Viewers
The code for the Viewer was received from Jeff de La Beaujardiere. We are free to modify it in anyway we choose, including adding a Federation logo. Ken Keiser will look into this. Bruce will produce a slide or two regarding the use of PES as a viewer. We will not try to integrate the existing Federation Search Engine into the Viewer for this demo (to avoid appearing to undermine the SWIL). For next week's telecon, we will look at Jeff's viewer to identify potential live demos for Tucson. UAH data is now partially WMT-compliant - it lacks the ability to select spatial subsets.
