The OGC Demo went very well. The demo was of a simulated emergency response to a disaster in New York City.
About 12 vendors/clients participated, including Liping Di (WCS), UAH Space-Time Tookit (WMS/WCS),
Jeff DeLaBeaujardiere, ESRI, PCI/Geomatics (WCS download), and Intergraph. Data included MODIS, GOES
weather, New York Basemap, and LandSAT.
Proposed Federation Technical Workshop
No new news on the Workshops. Funding is expected to be approved this week and the location of the Spring
Federation Meeting should also be known in the next couple of weeks.
Jamie and Liping agreed to help coordinate the Workshops.
Showcase for the May meeting
We hope to build upon the OGC experiences to build an effective demo for the Spring Federation Meeting.
The demo will not be geographically focused like the OGC demo - it will be based on the resources and
expertise within the Federation. We will emphasize WCS products, if possible. Education will be one of the themes.
Jim, Greg, Bob Downs, and Jamie agreed to help coordinate the Demo.
We hope that components of the demo can be used for a demo at the World Space Congress in the fall.
