Present
Rob Raskin (OceanESIP), Ken Keiser (UAH), Howard Burrows (Federation), Bob Chen (CIESIN), Jim Frew (UCSB), Bob Downs (CIESIN), Sue Heinz (PO.DAAC), Jamie Smedsmo (TerraSIP), Liping Di (GMU), Tim Rhyne (ORNL), Michael Goodman (PM-ESIP), Bruce Caron (PES), Greg Yetman (CIESIN)

Reports and Announcements
Steve Marley has left Ecologic. Liping Di agreed to represent the Federation at GAI meetings starting in March. The next OGC meeting is being hosted by CIESIN - its Technical Working Group meetings will be Feb 4-6. CIESIN is also involved in the development of disater planning scenario for OGC using WFS and WMS.

Proposed Federation Technical Workshop The current list of Workshop presenters includes: MapServer (U Minnesota), FGDC compliance (CIESIN), ESML (UAH), WMS (Rob), WCS (Liping), ArcIMS (CIESIN?), DODS, as well as non-GIS presenters: Mercury, GCMD, New DISS awardees. FGDC and MapServer would like up to 2 days; others could use 1/2 day. Bruce agreed that for such a large number of presenters, a standalone venue might be appropriate. We will present two budgets - one for a standalone workshop and the second for a venue associated with the Federation Spring meeting in the DC area. The Workshops would be open to non-Federation particiapants (e.g. other data providers). A registration fee could partially offset costs. The Interoperability will cosponsor and actually present the proposal to the Federation.

GIS Services Brochure
We have a draft web version, from which the brochure insert will be extracted (based on contributions received by Wed.).

Alaska Meeting
Several ESIPs will provide GIS-related demos at the ClusterFest. We will meet as a group over lunch at the Federation Meeting on Thursday or Friday.
